Immigration DNA Testing in Miami
AABB-Accredited Immigration DNA Testing, Right in Downtown Miami
When documentary evidence of a biological relationship isn’t enough to support a visa application, immigration DNA testing provides the verification USCIS and U.S. embassies require. At Fastest Labs of Downtown Miami, we perform comprehensive immigration tests using only fully AABB accredited laboratories, so the results we deliver meet federal standards and are accepted by immigration authorities. Our certified collectors handle every sample with precision and confidentiality, and with more than 10 years of experience in the industry, we know how to guide families through a process that can feel unfamiliar.
Immigration DNA testing establishes a biological relationship between a petitioner living in the U.S. and a visa applicant abroad. We can verify relationships including a parent, grandparent, sibling, or another relative, covering common family-based visa petition scenarios Miami families face.

How Immigration DNA Testing Works
The process involves two participants: the petitioner (the U.S.-based relative) and the visa applicant abroad. Both provide cheek swab samples at separate collection points, and a certified collector witnesses each collection to maintain chain-of-custody integrity from start to finish.
The Petitioner’s Appointment
The U.S.-based petitioner schedules an appointment at our Downtown Miami facility. A certified collector takes a cheek swab sample, packages it according to AABB protocols, and sends it to our main testing location for analysis. The petitioner’s sample establishes the reference point for the comparison.
The Visa Applicant’s Appointment
Once the petitioner’s sample is submitted, the visa applicant is prompted to schedule a DNA testing appointment at a U.S. embassy or consulate in their country. After paying the required fee, the visa applicant must bring the payment receipt to the appointment; without it, the appointment will be rescheduled. At the appointment, the visa applicant presents a valid passport, a photo of the applicant, and the DNA test payment receipt. A cheek swab sample is collected and witnessed by consular officials, then shipped to a FastestLabs facility in the U.S. for analysis.
Results & Next Steps
Once analysis is complete, results are submitted directly to USCIS or the requesting embassy, maintaining chain-of-custody integrity throughout. The visa applicant then proceeds with the next steps in the immigration application process. Testing doesn’t guarantee visa issuance, but a confirmed biological relationship can strengthen the application.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
Having the right documents at each appointment keeps the process on track. Here’s what each participant needs:
Petitioner (U.S.-Based):
- A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID
- Any USCIS case number or correspondence for reference
Visa Applicant (Overseas):
- Valid passport
- A photo of the applicant
- DNA test payment receipt (required; the appointment will be rescheduled without it)
- Any embassy correspondence or USCIS case number for reference
For participants under 18, a parent, guardian, or conservator must be present to authorize testing at the time of the appointment.
