Employer Obligations After a Qualifying Accident

The Designated Employer Representative (DER) carries significant responsibilities the moment a qualifying accident occurs. The CDL driver must not consume alcohol for 8 hours following the accident or until an alcohol test has been administered, whichever comes first.
