Why Families Choose Fastest Labs of St. Paul for Immigration DNA Testing

Getting immigration DNA testing right matters. Results submitted with a flawed chain-of-custody or collected outside an AABB-accredited facility may not be accepted by USCIS, which can delay a visa application and create real hardship for families waiting to reunite. Our certified collectors follow strict chain-of-custody protocols from the moment a cheek swab is collected through delivery of results to the requesting agency.

Our facility is clean, professional, and designed to keep your experience as comfortable as possible. We aim to keep wait times under five minutes, and before you leave, our staff can explain exactly how and when you’ll receive results. All samples and data are managed securely and kept confidential throughout the entire process. Our services are affordably priced, making immigration DNA testing at our Inver Grove Heights location accessible to families that need it.

Relationship Types Covered by Immigration DNA Testing

USCIS may suggest DNA testing when a petitioner and visa applicant can’t provide sufficient primary documentary evidence of their claimed biological relationship. DNA technology is the only non-documentary method accepted for proof of a biological relationship in the immigrant visa process, and it’s voluntary rather than mandatory.

Our Immigration DNA Testing Services cover the relationship types USCIS and U.S. consular offices recognize, including parent, grandparent, sibling, or another qualifying relative. Commonly tested relationships include parent-child paternity and maternity, full or half siblingship, and grandparent relationships. More distant relationships generally can’t be proven reliably through DNA and aren’t typically requested by USCIS or consular officers.

For parent-child cases, results must show a 99.5% or greater probability of the claimed relationship to be accepted. Our AABB-accredited lab results meet that standard across all covered relationship types. One important note: DNA testing should generally be performed only after receiving an official written request from USCIS, a U.S. embassy, or a U.S. consulate. Results obtained before an official request may not be accepted and could require repeat testing.
